Who we are
An institute built to connect evidence with decisions.
The Institute of Economic Research and Public Policy (IERPP) is a non-partisan economic think tank in Ghana, formed through collaboration between the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) and its Faculty of Accounting and Finance (FAF).
Established in 2025, IERPP conducts and communicates research and policy analysis on Ghana’s economy: fiscal policy, public-sector management, monetary governance, economic development and related public-policy questions. It serves as a collaborative platform for policymakers, academics, civil society and industry leaders.
Our work is guided by four core values: excellence in research, policy relevance, an interdisciplinary approach, and a global perspective with local impact.

Prof. Isaac Boadi
Executive Director
Professor Isaac Boadi is the Executive Director of the Institute of Economic Research and Public Policy (IERPP) and Dean of the Faculty of Accounting and Finance at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA). He leads IERPP's research and public engagement, including its budget assessments, government performance tracking and commentary on Ghana's fiscal, monetary and cocoa-sector policies. He has presented IERPP analysis on SOE privatisation, public financial management and economic accountability.
